Education and Background
I attended the University of Oklahoma, where I received my B.A. in 1969 with a tri-major in journalism, history and English. After a stint as a newspaper reporter and editor, I received my law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, and have practiced in Alameda County, California, since my admission to the bar in 1979.
Practice
My practice over the years has covered a wide range of legal areas, including criminal and corporate law, conservatorships, real estate and contract law. Today it is limited to estate planning and probate and selected matters in family law and personal injury.
